A highly recognized centre for dance and theatre education, Southern Performing Arts Academy, has been serving the metro Atlanta area for over twenty five years. We are a staff of highly sought after directors and teaching staff dedicated to providing the public with the highest expertise in the world of dance. Our Academy offers a wide range of education for all levels of dance from the beginner to professional. Through our years of experience we have developed an environment that is best suited for learning the fine arts whether you are here to have fun or train for a career in the arts. Our students have the opportunity to audition and perform with our resident professional dance company, Southern Ballet Theatre.

Academy students have gone on to dance and or train with notable companies such as Disney, New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, and the Houston Ballet and has received scholarship opportunities from colleges and universities such as, Pointe Park University, Virginia School of the Arts, Butler University, and Fordham University. Our professional company, Southern Ballet Theatre is a member of Regional Dance America, which is a national association of dance companies founded in 1988 to promote the artistic development of dance companies throughout the United States. Southern Ballet Theatre is a member in the Southeastern Regional Ballet Association, which is one of the five divisions of Regional Dance America. RDA offers instruction from the top teachers in the industry, scholarships, awards, and performance opportunities.
